The Great Falls Senior Center (GFSC) was founded by leading Great Falls senior citizens in 2012. The mission statement is serve, support and enrich the lives of older adults in the Great Falls community. The all-volunteer GFSC is supported by the Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services department and hosts monthly programs, luncheons and local trips for its members.
The membership has grown steadily through the years and now numbers about 200. There is no age or geographical restriction on who can become a member. In addition to the monthly events, the GFSC partners with the Great Falls Community Library to host educational programs to promote the well-being of local seniors.
The activities of the GFSC are supported by annual membership dues and donations as well as by local Great Falls businesses. For seniors looking for new ways to meet their Great Falls neighbors please check out the GFSC website at: www.gfseniors.org
